Going Casual

This round of photos featuring this sweater is a true representation of how I would wear it normally. With my minimalistic and casual style, I like to wear things as is and not fuss too much about how I look. I attribute my casual style to my laziness. I’m the type of girl that likes to throw on a shirt and a pair of jeans and call it a day. Layering with different pieces and experimenting with color is fun but not something that I would reach for on a daily basis.

I paired the sweater with darker blue jeans to contrast the light sweater. I threw on some booties that have a small dip in the front to lengthen my legs. When I worked in a smaller boutique, I was taught that whiskering and fading on denim can affect the way a pair of jeans look. First off, as a petite gal I need to make sure the fading on my jeans doesn’t go too far down my leg because that would only shorten their appearance. Whenever I’m looking for jeans I try to find a pair that has fading slightly above or below the knees. As for whiskering, my body shape is more pear shaped meaning that I have larger hips and thighs. I try to stay away from jeans that have whiskering that goes down to my thighs because I feel like that makes my thighs look bulkier than they are.
