Skirts have been on my radar lately even though the weather in MN has slowly started to dip. I don’t just want any plain old skirt either even though they are handy; I like skirts that have a little character to them similar to the one that I chose to wear which has a full length zipper (and yes…it zips all the way down so be careful ladies around those obnoxious but loving friends you have). In order for the skirt to not be too trendy I always aim for basic colors like my trusty black.
I paired my skirt with a simple graphic tee and a trench style jacket for warmth and length. The jacket helped to make the skirt look seasonally appropriate but in MN, we wear shorts in 30 degree weather so having to show some leg didn’t bother me much. I stuck to one color palette but fall colors such as camel and maroon can easily be incorporated with accessories if you love basic colors like myself. With the colder weather, skirts can easily be paired with a sweater, an awesome jacket, and booties and you have a put together ensemble.

Sneakers have been making a comeback for some time now and with their comfort, I opted for a pair as well. They made the outfit more casual especially since the jacket I chose to wear was dressier. Sneakers are also perfect for walking around and enjoying the city because who would do that in heels?
Thank you for waiting patiently for my blog post and I hope it gave you a little inspiration ♥.
